[Hair] People First Notice Your Hair- Review: Essential Leave-on CC Oil & Night Care Milk
Do you ignore your hair? I take my hair for granted.Head hair is much longer than the other hair on the body. It is estimated that the human head has an estimated 100,000 hairs. While remains a mystery why humans have head hair that continues to grow, it is undeniable that well-groomed hair is also used as a tool for mate selection.
Surely we are more than just mammals who procreate. HAHA But people notice your hair, and good hair also contributes to the overall look. We would all want hair that look healthy and vibrant.

Using shampoo and conditioner come as second nature. The story becomes a little different in the modern setting with hair-styling, blow drying etc. The post-shower hair remains tangled and dry. Ugh. It screams to you that it needs more moisture! I've always overlooked the importance of leave-in hair conditioners. Are you guilty of this too? HEHEH
A suitable leave-in hair conditioner can help to detangle your mane, tame fly-aways all while packing a punch of moisture. Its an extra bonus if it smells good. :D
Essential is a Japanese haircare brand. I've been using their shampoo and conditioners, and I really do like them. The Essential CC Oil and Essential Night Care Milk from their leave-on treatments are relaunched in Singapore!
The Essential CC Oil and Essential Night Care Milk promise gorgeous, healthy and manageable hair all day long, even at night.
Essential CC Oil (60 ml) RP: S$11.90
Non-greasy and invisibly light, the Essential CC Oil coats each strand of hair with a cuticle coat protection to fight the 5 most common forms of hair stresses. The cuticle coat protection leaves hair smooth and tangle-free all day!
HEHEH The CC oil! Sounds familiar eh? It is also as multi-functional as the CC cream, just that this is not makeup. CC stands for "Cuticle Care". The oil coats each strand of hair for protection against the 5 hair stresses. And can be reapplied on any time for more manageable hair.
What do you do to celebrate? A dark-chocolate pudding that was forbidden in your diet just days ago or a pampering day at the spa? Heyyy, what about your hair? Our poor hair is often subjected to chemicals and heat; and may be damaged even by everyday habits and environmental factors.
The cuticle is the outermost layer of the hair, which acts like a barrier to protect the softer inner structure (medulla and cortex). It is sort of like a shield, but it can be also worn out.
Essential's Cuticle Coat Protection leaves hair smooth and tangle-free. The Essential CC Oil and Essential Night Care Milk also contains Hair Supplement Oil which is similar to the hair's natural oil. These claims to make your hair softer, shinier, and thicker.
The Essential CC oil promises to coat each strand of hair to protect and fight against the 5 common hair stresses:
- Blow drying
All that heat! Heat is like the sugar cane wringer, but to the hair. HAHA - Combing
causes friction, and brittle hair is prone to breakage. - Split Ends
Try to snip it off, before it continues its way up. But its existence is usually due to dryness especially at the ends of the hair. - Hair Breakage
Damaged hair looks good on zero people. Styling is confusing because it makes it look good, yet bad. - Dryness
Yeah, fk. What is hydrated hair.
Notice that many of these stresses are all part and parcel of our daily routine and the uncontrollable environment? There are 2 ways about this, (1) stop doing these activities or (2) protect your hair strands.
Heat protector is supposed to be used before heat styling. I don't have those stuff. HEH So instead I apply an appropriate amount of the Essential Leave-on CC oil before blow-drying or any heat styling. I rarely bother much about my hair in the past since it was always in a ponytail. Things are different when I went short. So sometimes I need to cheat a little and use a hair straightener to kiap the kinks down.
It is intensely hydrating to combat any dryness and tames any flyaway hairs. My hair is all liquid sunshine now. :)
