[School] School- Pre-school
Hey! Finally blogging about school again! School had been so distant to me, after like 8-9 months of 'living life', and I thought I've had my share of this society. Voila, and you've guessed correctly! Im no longer as depressed as before about 'life after degree' no more (at least for now). While I've geared up myself and thought that Im so ready for this new beginning, I'm PMS-ing again?!
Friends
I felt out of place in school as I didn't go for a single orientation. People are greeting and patting each other's backs every other step while I recognize no familiar face. Luckily I've got this little bestie Wita who went for 3 camps and can intro me to new people, (to the best of her ability). I'd to add on that because it takes 2 hands to clap, sorry, but I can't stand how unbelievably shy I am!
When I hear another shriek of someone's name...
*averts eyes* boomshakalaka, another awkward moment for me. "Please force some smile on yourself, Cindy."
I also hope that I can at least take advantage of this honeymoon period while it lasts luh, but... Sigh!
Aiyaa, IDK but I just can't seem to pick up this new found excitement for school!! How?! I'll try my best next Monday okay? When the day starts at 830AM but only ends at 6PM, and I have the whole of 1030AM-4PM to bond with new schoolmates! How awesome is that?!
Hostel accommodation
I know living in the "halls" is all part of living the life #YOLO but this will cause me an additional of around s$2k/sem. (NTU does not waive of accomodation for me unlike NUS). But other than this surface, financial issue that I face, there are also other underlying factors luh.
1) I live in the west
2) I have my dogs to take care of
3) Hostel life can get too overwhelming and busy (though some may perceive it as otherwise.)
4) I'm afraid to grow an attachment to hall life, and be sad if I fail to secure myself a place the second year.
Honestly, my biggest obstacle is the financial aid. I don't want to "enjoy life" and graduate with suffocating debts. # lifeofaSingaporean
Syllabus
I know everyone is undergoing this change and since biology was a familiar subject, my buffer is better than anyone else's. Still, I have it in my face. Having not touched my books from last December. *plays music*
CCA
Hmm... I think Ive narrowed my choices to social work and maybe the performing arts. These arent things that I associate closely with, but are some of the things that I can see myself doing in my past time ( after joining peeps in the office (no) life).
I'll do well tomorrow and update this space OK?! Wait for my good news! =D
