[Cosmetic Lens] The Realm of Dreams- Review: GEO Three-toned Berry Chessy Grey CM-901
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. The lenses are purchased with my own money."Grey eyes like the ash remnants of a roaring fire"
Grey lenses, finally.
Hello! Hello! Hello! As you've noticed, I've been more absent of late. But by no means I'm intending to showcase the damaging theatrics of my drama queen alter ego, sprung from my personal life here. I'm back regardless, Yay!
I was sourcing for something to spice up my look, not anything drastic however. I mean I've cut and colored my hair not so long ago, right?
I've always leaned more towards the conservative colour spectrum during purchases of coloured lenses. My previous two were brown, and still brown; how un-happening!
It suddenly occurred to me that spending money on artificial enhancements but trying to look "natural" is somewhat ridiculous. I might as well go all the way LOL! I'm kidding, I do in fact try very hard to stay "natural". My lie has a loophole unfortunately, notice how my lashes are intensely sugared with mascara? HAHA

I digress.

Like most Asians, my natural eyes are of a nut brown. Its a deep brown which the pupil and iris appears to be indistinguishable.
These lenses gives a lustrous sheen of polished opal.
Depending on the different lightings and camera angles, the lens sometimes have a brown-ish green (hazel) appearance. The brown shards radiate out from around the pupil to combine with the grey farther out in the iris. The brown is a light caramel while the grey is a light smokey-grey shade, finally enclosed within a grey of higher pigmentation. If the diameter of your natural iris is larger, then the lenses will be circled within a vague rim of your own eye colour.
Design/ Colour: In darker lightings, the colour is not prominent at all and can either look black or brown. Notice the striking large amount of gold around the pupil? This was the sole reason I picked this series of grey lens, it gives a gradual transition of your natural iris (through the pupil hole) to gold and finally fading off to a pixelated grey. I think this shade is great for regular days as well as going out.
Surprisingly, it didn't look too alien-like, which can be to your dismay, or not HAHA. Which builds on to my previous point of that heavy eye makeup can be excluded with these pair of lenses.
Comfort:
Like my previous pair of GEO Grang Grang, I could definitely feel their presence. Very often I find myself rolling my eyes for the lenses to settle back in place else the pixelated area would be a potential blockage of my vision. These lens however do cause a little drying out of the eyes.
I like these lenses overall and wouldn't mind purchasing another pair of this series in another colour. They give me a very subtle change in eye colour which can go unnoticeable unless you scrutinize my features. LOL
Note: Due to different factors like eye colour genetics, lighting and the colour of the accessories you don or the environment etc etc, what is reflected on me might not yield the exact same results if it would be on yours. If you have dark eyes, it should be close.

I'm usually the odd one, but not the only odd one. I mean, I can't be the only soul who is mesmerized with heterochromia, right? See what I mean, the effects are so subtle, yet extremely jarring once you've noticed it.
I'll definitely be messing around with more colour co-ordinations when the hole in my pocket is sewed. Time will heal it all! I can't wait to start slogging my life out at work again!
P.S.: On a side note, I'll aim for more regular blog posts as well. Come May.

Contrary to popular belief, natural grey eyes do exist in the human population. Aha, mind-blown!
Eye colours are influenced by several genes. Different eye colours are caused by different amounts of melanin produced and the different density of proteins. Furthermore, there are different layers of our eyes. So visualise this, with a few layers, each with different compositions, we can enjoy the great varsity of eye colours in the world! Just that it has been slightly unfair to the Asian and African population. :(
Oh, btw, so is heterochromia! But this one is a tad more complicated, it could be due to genetic disorders which are normally benign, or by more serious conditions such as the Horner's syndrome. LOL, my bio knowledge is kind of insufficient to answer any burning doubts of yours regarding this one.
HAHA, hope that science bit is entertaining! BYE guys!
