Have you seen the Aqua line of Bio Essence in store? You know what I'm referring to, the ones in the blue crystal jars! This sleeping mask, that I'm about to review has to be one of the star products of Bio-Essence's. I've been trying this out for almost a month now and am here to shed some light for you- hesitating consumers who came googling for product reviews.

Some of us work in an air-conditioned environment, worse still, some of us even sleep in such conditions. Sleeping masks are slapped on after moisturizer, and it is wash-free, meaning in the next morning. This new method of delivering moisture is so much more convenient than say a sheet mask or cream mask or those that you've to rinse it off after 15-20 mins. Still don't know, right? Read on larh.

Sleeping masks are not new in the market, most of us have probably tried a few brands since their first launch but have you seen one that turns gel into water droplets upon massaging? With this new technology, the Bio-essence Aqua Droplet mask forms a protective shield on the skin and breaks into water.

What it claims:

Upon opening:
The gel maybe mistaken as petroleum jelly or makeup primer at first glance for its white opaque texture that looks a little like grease. It smells very familiar, I trying to recall for days for a similar smell. Yes, I've got the answer, bubblegum. You know that "tutti-frutti" flavour of the chewy candies. Uh-huh. In all honesty, I don't like the smell. Though it may be heavily scented, I did not have any sensitivity issues during its usage.

But the smell alone won't deter me from trying out this thing, because the rest of my attention is on the formation of the water droplets. HAHA It didn't disappoint. You don't have to go liberal with the amount, since a little can go a long way. It is spread easily and easily absorbed, not leaving the skin sticky. Also, it drops your skin temperature as the water droplets evaporates. Instant coolness. We tend to sleep better in a cooler environment and this seems like it is doing all of it!

It turns into water droplets within 3 seconds of massaging.
I'm sometimes cautious to apply too thick a layer for the fear that it might get messy and goes all over my pillow, but it is almost entirely absorbed after massaging. When I wash my face in the morning, it didn't feel slippery or oily. I do think that my face is looking better- brighter and smoother in the mornings, as a result from the hydration.

On my hand:
The skin looks more plumped and less scaly.
Can you see the difference?

Besides a sleeping mask, it can also be used as a daily moisturizer. You don't think this is exclusive? Some sleeping masks though claim bi-use, leave a film of reflective layer on the skin, which I don't think I need to look more dewy than usual in a hot summer day. This definitely leaves nothing but more hydrated skin, as you can see from above, but you would have to put on SPF if you decide to use it in the day.

This product is now available locally at Watsons, Guardian and major supermarkets at $33.90/80g. Maybe I'm used to seeing larger price tags and the need for investment in my ageing skin. so you do the math and deem if it is afforable for you, I reckon that it can last me alone for at least 6 months.

Still unsure, we know the power of sampling, you can redeem samples from their Facebook page.
