[Makeup] Merging Medicine with Cosmetics- Review: BeautyBiotics DreamCream
Disclaimer: The product featured in this post is provided for consideration. All opinions are honest and of my own.Dermatological cosmetics seems to be receiving a lot of good press lately; their winning point is its ability to provide immediate and long term effects on the skin. I'm very excited for this as their marketing seem to almost address all my concerns.
The BeautyBiotics intelligence unit understands that while makeup can enhance the look of skin, real skin beauty starts with healthy, clean skin. That is why it also has a focus on facial cleansers that gently remove the dead skin cells on the outermost skin layers without stripping skin of its natural emollients. This action of exfoliation is a kick-start to the skin’s regeneration process, which results in instant glowing radiance.
BB/CC Cream
I quite like how this BB cream is marketed, to modern women who are busy and do not wish to dedicate an hour of the morning to this makeup drama LOL. This allows you to skip the multi-step process of applying sunscreen under your makeup since it has a broad spectrum SPF 40/ PA+++. A healthy dose of skin caring benefits is also introduced, to be specific, this is particularly boasts a 12 Benefits-In-One advanced formula. Besides meeting the criteria of good coverage, it also offers skin whitening properties and long lasting hydration for up to 12 hours.
One and only gripe of this is the smell; I don't exactly know how to put this, but there is a characteristic, like newly-manufactured plastic smell to this. It is bearable and it does not linger, but just some hesitation before I pick this up in the morning HAHA!
The packaging is a turn lid and the product dispenses through this pinhole. Pretty hygienic I would say, HAHA! The consistency of the product is a little paste-like, but gives you a decent buffer time to spread it out, to a velvety, matte finish thereafter. The thicker texture also translates into more coverage, this erased my capillaries and pores like photoshop!

Available in 3 shades - Natural, light and shimmer. LOL, notice how "dark" was almost never used in referring to skintones, the "natural" or the darker shade was a better match for my skintone.
The coverage is decent, the appearance of red facial capillaries and pores on my cheeks were minimized to a huge extent. Oh, my dark eye circles too! Heh. I've wore it out for a day test, staying power is definitely noticeable. It didn't smudge like the previous La Roche Posay BB cream did, oil secretion is also regulated. This product, I love it to itty bitty bits. The price is also reasonable and I wouldn't mind paying for such results.
Note: Sorry for this abrupt interruption, but I feel compelled to mention this. Though offering many benefits, BB creams are not skincare but makeup, and I'd say the same for all other BB creams in the market. Please do not abandon your skincare! And also, remove your makeup at the end of the day.

UV White Nano Mineral Powder
This is a powdered sunscreen offering sun protection of up to SPF 50/ PA+++. With Nano-collagen, Hyaluronic Acid and Alpha Arbutin skin nutrients that infuse into skin continuously, helping skin regenerate, reduce pigmentation and lighten dark spots.
Like your conventional sunscreen, this is extremely lightweight. It comes in a nifty compact with a sponge for application. Most sunscreens are thick and can get a tad sticky as the day proceeds on. And did I mention that it is travel-friendly yet; I can easily reapply on the go especially to mattify the skin in mid-day.
I like how this does not leave too much of a white cast or reflect too much light in photos. The product blends in to your skin well.
The sponge however, can get a little dirty if I use it on top of some foundations or BB creams HEHE. I will urge anyone to use it on a clean face (ie. without makeup) and apply makeup on top of this.
