[Makeup] Duty Breeds Routine- Daily Work Makeup

Since more companies are insisting that their staff must look "presentable" and by convention, you'd need makeup to be decent. Because I'm likely to scare the s*** out of everyone with my bare face. I could only heave a sigh of disappointment as I set an additional 30 minutes aside for this torturing process during my work week.
Now, don't get me wrong; I like makeup and it can be an enjoyable process- provided that I'm not coerced into doing so. As all things, I adapt and have since came up with an effortless procedure. That takes me little time to apply and remove.
*Note that pros can do all things fast. This, is definitely easy for a beginner.

After all the prep (cleansing, moisturizing and SPF-ing):
Because all MUAs hold a makeup brush.
Anyway, hello. This is my nude face.

 1. CC / BB cream

I'm using my sample size of UV Aqua White here. While I leave you to marvel at the color changing chemistry of the CC cream... I don't use it all over my face, but only on my T-zone and under eyes. This dries dewy, you can finish or set it with some loose powder (even baby powder) if you like it matte.
This offers light-medium coverage, build-able to medium. But you see, I don't need to look perfect all the damn time.
The selfies I took? Oh, I took about 20 consecutive shots and picked the best one out. I don't look flawless all. the. time. And I'm totally cool with that btw.

2. Brows
Whose cover was broken a few days ago. Yes, no longer than that I promise.
Still usable. And I'll decide if it is contaminated later.
Oh look! I read  books! I'm so well-rounded.
This is a bi-coloured brow powder. Eyebrows on people with dark hair are usually 2-3 shades lighter than your hair while 2-3 shades darker on people with light hair. You'd want to match the colour of your brows (if its of "natural" colour) to your hair colour. While I might look like an reincarnated version of shin-chan, and I spend some more time laughing into the mirror, the remaining eye makeup can balance this out.
I can do a shabby job on my right eye thanks to my fringe, but I don't spend too much effort on it as a whole. I'm #happy just as long as the brows are a little more defined.
Powders saves me some more time (expensed on the laughing) than the pencils. I don't have to soften them out. But they usually also don't stay on the entire day. At least they fade off gracefully, which is good enough for me.

2.5 Contouring

If I feel more diligent (or ugly), I do this. Using the residual brow powder on the brush, I drag it down my nose bridge, skipping the middle section of the nose and straight to the tips. This is how our eyes work, we don't need a whole solid line of brown to cast a shadow, and it looks more natural like that. Regardless, blending is dah key. I do it with my fingers because I need to act like a barbarian at least a few times a day.

3. Eye Liner

I've since abandoned my all time favourite, sleek black liquid liner for its longer removal time. Plus it doesn't fade off that gracefully. Sounds kinda like me, but opposites attract you see. So that's when this brown eyeshadow serves as its substitute.
Though I can continue using the previous brow powder for this, I like the pigmentation and durability of this eyeshadow more. It is pretty long lasting, very-very-richly pigmented and the powders do not fall into my eyes. Gah, I could survive on this 3.5 g all my life!
Using an angled brush, that is precise but have hairs soft enough not to irritate my sensitive eyes, I brush this onto the outer ends of my upper lids. Since I've hooded lids if you didn't realise, so I can save on some product and of course, time.

As of now, this is how I look.
4. Cheeks and Lips

Woah, yes. This is a high-end product, which rarely appear on my blog. And this is the only intense red lipstick I have (I don't apply lipstick at all) which I've got it for my job since their dress codes are so strict that the lipstick has to be in the same colour code.
(And for that reason I cannot experiment with the cool and warm tones of lipsticks.)
This dries out my lips a little so I prep it with an abundance of lip balm the night before. Do I even need to emphasize on how pigmented it is?? I only use a few dots on both my lips and cheeks, blending it out thoroughly.
Lancome L'absolu Rouge 190

See, natural makeup made simple. I've stuck to this for nearly a month, since uhm, I've been working for nearly 2 months. Nearly everything fades gracefully and I look like my first peekture by the end of the day. And of course the removal! Since I don't need a separate eye-lip makeup remover, I can gao dim it in less than 5 minutes and head straight for the bed!

Oh look at me. This is how I should be presented in social media all the time! The ideal version of me. How more attractive can I look at the brink of consciousness. HAHAHA
