You know one smell that will make me go high? My dog paws. My next bet is Nivea fragrances.
There is just something about Nivea that smells so feminine and, and... like baby and mother that boosts my oxytocin levels. I've vague memories of my Momma using this when I as a kid. Of course, I will purposely come into her frame of sight for the obvious reason.

I flipped open the tube and took a deep whiff. Now, this is the signature Nivea fragrance.
In the last decade or so, the brand has launched a baffling extension of sub-brands, but its the old classic blue bottle of lotion that springs into our heads when we first think Nivea.

Here's 2 of my favourite smells on earth.
I don't like the smell of the entire dog, just the paws.

NIVEA Body Intensive Moisture Serum SPF 25, the first body serum that not only repairs 10 signs of extra accumulated dry and damaged skin within 24 hours, but also shields it from the sun.

I don't have a close up picture of my scaly legs to show, since I've started using body lotions this year. Not before that; but it wasn't as if I didn't need it. My legs, oh I can tell you, are nothing short of drawing my connection to the reptiles. They reflect the light in shine and breaks into natural cracks that look so much like scales. Too gross.
HAHAA, wait. Don't be disappointed. I've my sister's to. I truly hope that this evilness is not innate.
Plagued with dry skin: No habit of applying body lotions
It was this year that that tub of Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream was rediscovered in my stash and used religiously every night. Boy, did I see an improvement. It goes on well, not sticky and absorbed quickly and I would totally use it on my face as well. But. I think the new concoction of smell and chemicals is a little off-putting, not to a nauseating level, but I'm just questionable about the ingredients used.

I do not have a day moisturizer, and if I'd need one preferably with SPF in it. And I was out hesitating if I should try the Nivea one, since I saw this pretty girl using it during camp HAHAHA, so timely, right?

What it claims:

  • Extra light serum texture
  • Non-sticky
  • Fast absorption
  • Repairs 10 signs of dry & damaged skin within 24 hours
I love the texture, unlike heavy creams that looks like they can choke your pores, this is more of a body milk. It is runny and light enough to be spread easily. If you shower before heading out in the morning, then apply it after you shower. Or, if like me, don't. HEH Just make sure to do so before facing the sun or cold office air-con.
Comes in a pinhole tube to control the flow of the serum
With the blend of 100X concentrated Vitamin E, Grape Seed Oil, Avocado Oil and hydra IQ technology, I see my skin getting softer. Like the Nivea Soft, the hydration is definitely not superficial, I can see further improvement in the fainting lines of my limbs and the moisture is retained well.

Some of the key ingredients may be familiar to many of us, it effectively addresses:

  1. 10 signs of dry and damaged skin,
  2. supplies and prevents loss of moisture and
  3. protects skin against sun damage
Did I mention that it has SPF yet? I only apply sunblock on my body during PE or for intensive outdoor activity. Yes, I'm guilty. So having SPF in body lotions gives me more gratification when it gives me the impression that I'm saving the hassle of sunscreen. Unlike a sunblock, this doesn't leave those white streaks, especially when we sweat.

Psst, btw, I've also went through the list of ingredients and did the best screening I could. Other than methicone and erm, parfum, many of Nivea's products are now free of parabens colorants and essential oils. So for the more conscious peeps, you can feel safe in Nivea's hands.
